Late afternoon sun casts shadows of the coconut palms towards the 9th Hole at the Denarau Golf & Racquet Club's championship 18-hole course on Denarau Island near Nadi in Fiji.
Over the distant highland ranges on the main island of Fiji (the island of Viti Levu, which means 'big Fiji') tropical December summer clouds bubble up as the day progresses. Here on Denarau Island, however, the summer sky is still cloudless, providing golfers with excellent weather as they reach the mid-point of their 18-hole game.
Once they complete the 18 holes, it will be the perfect time to enjoy a refreshing cold drink at the Bar of the Club House as the setting sun bathes the course in a golden glow.
