The Sheraton Fiji Resort on Denarau Island near Nadi in Fiji, is located on the west side of the island. The climate in this part of Fiji experiences lower than average rainfall, meaning that there are many spectacular sunsets to enjoy from this beach Denarau Island is over 600 acres and was transformed from a flat mangrove island into a luxury resort paradise, with the resorts along the west and north-west of the island, an 18-hole undulating golf course in the central part of the island, and sought-after residences, plus Port Denarau Marina, on the eastern side. The original beaches were not the brilliant white sandy beaches one finds on the outer islands, but the resorts have specifically groomed the beaches by importing white sand, as well as in many instances creating white sand areas for sun lounges poolside.
This image is taken looking northwards along the beach at the Sheraton Fiji with the Paradise Wedding Chapel just out of view in the coconut palms at the distant corner. It provides wedding couples with spectacular views of both the west beach and the north-west beach as well as 270 degree views of the ocean and offshore islands.
