Nadi Town

Nadi Town is a small but bustling centre about 6-7 kilometres from Fiji's International Airport. Narrow, and bordered mostly by 2-storey shops, offices, cafes and offices, it attracts local shoppers and business people, as well as tourists.

There are a number of places to eat such as Chef's (choose between a cafe as well as a silver service restaurant), Nando's Portuguese barbecued chicken, and a number of other smaller cafes and local eateries. There are banks (Westpac, ANZ and Colonial Fiji for example), plus supermarkets, hardware stores, clothing stores and more recently a few larger, modern department-style stores. Budget travellers can also find Internet centres to pick up email or browse the web. Being a local town, there is always much happening, with traffic often slowing to a crawl as motorists try to find a parking space or allow shoppers to cross from one side of the road to the other.
